Driving is full of moments where you want to communicate something to the car behind and have no way to do it. A hand raised inside the cabin is invisible through a headrest. Hazards mean five different things depending on who is watching. Most of the time you just carry on and hope the other driver understood.
BackHand is a small LED sign for the rear window that gives you three fixed messages and a remote to trigger them.

The one you will actually use
People buy it for the middle finger and end up using the thank-you hand. Someone lets you merge on a busy slip road and there is finally a way to acknowledge it that the other driver can see. That is the gesture that gets pressed most, by some distance.
Fitting it
- Clean the inside of the rear glass properly — adhesive fails on film and dust, not from being weak
- Mount it high and towards the centre so it is visible over the parcel shelf
- Check it from outside the car before you commit — the viewing angle from a following car is lower than you think
- Keep the remote in the driver's door pocket or centre console, not the glovebox
Why it survives past the first week
Most joke gifts have nothing underneath the joke, so they get shown to three people and then put away. This one is genuinely functional after the novelty passes, which is a rare thing at €25.
Does it need wiring?
No. It runs on three AAA batteries and mounts with adhesive strips, so nothing runs to the front of the car except the remote signal.
Can the driver see it from the front seat?
You control it with the remote from the driver's seat; the display faces backwards for the car behind you.
